Don't Turn Teens Away.

I welcome all seekers, I would welcome legal minors, from non-Pagan
families to basic lay-level Pagan religious education. Such activities
are open to youth in other faith groups, so why not ours?
Young people are not property, not even the property of their parents.
Just as parents should not have the right to dictate their childrens
career choices, they should not have the right to restrict their
spiritual exploration or religious affiliation. Some young seekers
feel the call to a different path than the one their parents follow.
If they are attracted to Pagan ways , they may come to us for
guidance. If ethical and caring groups turn them away, who will take
them in?
I have never seen a church carding unaccompanied young adults who want
to attend services. By making youth welcome at our rituals, we claim
the same rights and responsibilities as any other faith group in our
society. Only by acting in accordance with our will can we make it
real. Many Pagan Groups require legal minors to present proof of their
parents permission to participate. I don't.
Blessed Be
